Most members supported the raises though Alan Smith questioned raising the safety director's pay since it also affects Mayor Dennis Bring. If approved Bring would gain 8000 annually starting January.

Avon officials neared a deal to sell rights to 82 nursing home bed licenses from the county owned Golden Acres facility.
