Deputy shot at during standoff ends in suspect suicide
Lorain County deputy Charles Crausaz was shot while returning fire at Travis Stidham who barricaded himself in a Pheasant Run home. Stidham killed himself in a rural field after a Cleveland police helicopter tracked him with infrared video. The deputy survived in fair condition and is recovering. investigators say deputies followed proper procedure.

Southern Lorain County landowners sign gas leases amid fracking interest
In Lorain County, landowners in the southern area sign leases with Medina Fuel Co drilling and others as fracking interest grows. Retired postal worker Richard E.
