Three escape house fire on state Route 303
Three residents escaped unharmed when a fire swept through their Route 303 home late Tuesday. Firefighters from Grafton, Grafton Township and LaGrange Township battled the blaze east of Chamberlain Road as Route 303 was closed. The house, once a garage and shed over a century old, had flames erupting from the roof around 9 p.m. The Dobbins family faced tragedy with Greta Pumphrey’s son Kevin killed in a Maryland car crash last month while he was en route to vote.
