Planet Hollywood Plans Comeback After Bankruptcy Reorganization
Planet Hollywood International moves to a leaner privately held company after emerging from bankruptcy for a second time in two years. Ten restaurants will stay open in major destinations while 60 to 70 percent of revenue previously came from these sites. Earl retains leadership as the plan issues 10 percent stake to him with lenders and investors taking the remainder. An auction of memorabilia to raise funds is slated, including items from Rita Hayworth and John Wayne.
