Elyria South Elyria Development Corp to receive grant funds
The Community Development Committee recommends $35,000 of federal grant money for the South Elyria Development Corporation SEND on the city’s south side, contingent on matching funds. A $100,000 downtown revitalization fund was also approved, with council setting usage rules. Additional allocations include housing rehab $280,000, planning $174,000, enforcement $110,000, and other programs totaling to fund seniors, disabled services, child programs, and park improvements. A Fifth Third Bank curb cut reconfiguration was approved with a request to reduce on street parking impacts.
