TRW to close Lorain Nelson Stud plant in 1987
TRW will shut its Nelson Stud division plant in Lorain next year and consolidate with the Elyria West Ridge Road site, where a $3.3 million addition and a 37,000 square foot admin and research building will be built. D-Day traffic crackdown nets high arrests but no fatalities

Lorain Man Dies After Vehicle Collision in Vermilion
A 35 year old Lorain man Larry Hershey died after an apparent auto pedal train accident on Liberty Ave near the Sand Bar in Vermilion around 2 am Saturday. Kenneth W. Moffette 22 of the same apartment complex was driving the car and was not injured. Authorities said no charges were filed as the coroner's case and investigation continued.
