Turning Car Hits 2 Girls at Crossing
Two teenage girls aged 19 and 15 were struck by a car as they crossed Middle Ave at Sixth and Amine. The driver George S. Brand, 21, was cited for failing to yield the right of way. Witnesses say the car began turning as the girls crossed. Hospitalized for observation were Freda Fisher, 35, and Jeanne Swart, 19, with non life threatening injuries.

Wheel Breaks On Freight Car Delays Eastbound Train
