Sheffield woman hurt in three car Route 57 crash
On Friday a three car collision on state Route 57 near Griswold Road left Roberta Grapenshin, 52, of Sheffield injured but not seriously. Her Camaro was struck from behind by a Tempo driven by Paul Simmlcik, pushing the Tempo onto the Escort on top of Grapenshin’s car. Simmlcik received a citation for assured clear distance ahead. no drugs or alcohol. Traffic lanes were closed briefly for tow crews to disentangle the wreck.

State workers suspended for slow reporting of gun
Three Ohio transportation workers were suspended after delay in reporting a handgun found on an Interstate 270 ramp near Columbus. The .380 pistol was turned over two days later to the state patrol. Two workers unloaded the weapon before bagging it for transport. Officials call the actions unacceptable and possible firing is on the table for Jimmy Gaines and Chris Chesser.
