Austria’s Christmas stalls spark Santa backlash in Vienna
In Vienna a small movement opposes American style Santa Claus at Christmas markets. Pro-Christkind Society founder Philip Tengg and supporters argue Santa distracts from St Nikolaus and the Christ Child, though they are not anti Santa. The group has about 100 members across Austria Germany and Switzerland.
