Prominent Sandusky Business Man Dies
SANDUSKY, C., Dec. 13. Alex M. Warner, 60, secretary of a local loan company and former president of the Cedar Point Co., operators of the Lake Erie summer resort, died of pneumonia after a short illness. He was brother in law of the late G. A. Boeckling and succeeded Boeckling as Cedar Point Co. president when Boeckling died three years ago. Warner resigned after serving a year.

Ohio approves drivers license law with Oct 1936 start
Governor Davey signed a new drivers license law placing it on Ohio statute books though not effective until October 1 1936. The fee is 40 cents with 25 going to the highway department and 15 to deputy registrars. Renewal also 40 cents. Applicants must show traffic law knowledge and ability to read signs. Penalties include prison terms for false info and drunken driving fines up to 500 dollars. Minor licenses require parental consent.

Advance of PWA funds for Jefferson Junior High addition
Elyria school business manager James F Brown prepared a request for a 29322.50 advance of PWA funds for the Jefferson Junior High School addition. Headquarter for William Young, distributor of federal surplus commodities, opened today at the distribution center on East Bridge street. Mrs Bucey Faces Verdict In Two Day Murder Trial
Stella Bucey 29 a Lorain hotel keeper stood trial for the murder of her sailor lover Jack Burnett 35 in a two day non juried case. Judge D A Cook promised verdict at 9 am Tuesday after defense argued self defense claims and prosecution contended Bucey pursued Burnett as he tried to escape. Burnett died days later from four shots fired in her Broadway apartment.

Steamer Creighton Sinks Barges at New Eureka Dam

Fire Hits New Deal Post Office Complex in Washington
A seven hour blaze damaged the post office department complex in Washington destroying government records and damaging offices of Postmaster General James A Farley and other New Deal executives. Water flooded storage rooms and flowed into adjacent Interstate Commerce Commission space as firemen battled the flames through the night and into dawn.
