Lorain Officer Marrero Faces Dismissal After Convictions
Lorain County Prosecutor Dennis Will did not return a call regarding the dismissal of charges against officer Marrero who served 17 years. An arbitrator upheld his termination following misdemeanor convictions for improper behavior involving women, including a 2006 incident in which he exposed himself and threatened to withhold police protection. The ruling notes multiple on duty sexual encounters and a pattern of misconduct during and after a 2000 suspension. Marrero’s attorney says he is training to be a commercial truck driver.
