Forecast predicts above average Atlantic hurricane season
Colorado State University forecasters William Gray and Phil Klotzbach project 14 named storms, seven hurricanes, and three major hurricanes for next year with a 63 percent chance of a U.S. major hurricane landfall. The season runs June to November and relies on warm Atlantic seas and likely no El Nino.
