He fractured his skull and remained unconscious. hospital report at noon said his condition was much worse. Robbers beat blacksmith to death near Grange Hall
In Circleville Ohio on December 11 four robbers bound 10 year old Sarah Kidney and beat 75 year old John Kidney to death in their home one mile south of the Grange Hall. The robbers escaped with 446 dollars including 400 in paper money and 46 in silver. Sheriff Radcliff and deputies search for the four men who entered about 3 am and ransacked the house. The sister was tied to a bed and her arm broken in the struggle. Kidney’s body was taken to Bowman undertaking in Mt. Sterling.
