McCloud found guilty of murder in Lorain church case

A three judge panel convicted Ronald McCloud Jr. Thursday of aggravated murder and rape in the 2005 strangling of 57 year old Janet Barnard in Living Water Christian Fellowship Church. The panel acquitted two kidnapping charges and set sentencing for Jan 6 with potential death penalty consideration. North Ridgeville K-9 halts suspect after high speed chase

North Ridgeville police say a 40 year old man Randolph Fladhbart assaulted an officer during a 1:13 a.m. traffic stop after weaving driving and marijuana odor led to arrest for operating while intoxicated. Man charged after strangling mother's cat and attacking officers

A 36-year-old man allegedly strangled his mother's cat and punched officers who tried to subdue him in a Lorain apartment. Police used a Taser, found a loaded shotgun near the door, and charged Jamie Orr with animal cruelty domestic violence resisting arrest and three counts of assaulting a police officer. The mother called for help stating her son was visiting from out of state and having mental issues.
