Judge Looks to Higher Power for Vindication
Reno AP report says U S District Judge Harry Claiborne, 66, of Las Vegas, was indicted on three counts of filing false tax returns and one count each of bribery wire fraud obstruction of justice and filing a false statement to the Judicial Ethics Commission. The six page indictment alleges he told brothel owner Joseph Conforte that for 100000 he would bribe judges to reverse tax evasion convictions. he allegedly was paid at least 55000 though the Confortes lost on appeal.
