The Lorain City Council upheld the Planning Commission denial of a rezoning request for a church and youth center at 1850 E 29th St from residential to business. Council members 7 3 supported the recommendation. opponents urged a conditional use path to help the neighborhood. The group now seeks a conditional use permit with the Board of Zoning Appeals.
