Farm Bureau Leaders Fear Proposed Building Code
Farm Bureau councils expressed fear that farmers could be dominated by a scrupulous building inspector as the Lorain County code faced debate at a 52-person gathering. McGinnis argued the code aims at safety and sanitary conditions, with an estimated 30 000 annual cost and funding from those involved, not general taxes. He noted the process includes a regional planning subcommittee and that final adoption awaits commission approval.
