Collision on Route 113 Kills Elyria Mother as Children Hurt
A head on crash on Route 113 near Sunkist Orchards east of Amherst killed Sadie Waldron of Elyria and seriously injured her two children Barbara Jean and James. Driver Joseph Giedlinski of Elyria survived with his wife. The family was en route to an Amherst physician when a car forced their vehicle off the road. The two children suffered multiple injuries including a skull fracture and facial trauma. The body of the deceased was taken to L. D. Gerber Funeral Home with services planned at their residence Saturday.

Local Woman Dies En Route to Church
Mrs. Jessie Hubbell Holland, 76, of 937 West River Street, died after noon today while on her way to St. Marys Church. The widow, living with Mrs. Hubbell at the home, was taken to Taylor Funeral Home and then to a hospital. She is survived by a son John, a daughter in Charlestown Va, and several grandchildren. An immigrant from England who came to the United States at 15, she lived in New Jersey and later moved to town in 1910. Her body was taken to the Taylor Funeral Home for services.
