Edward West Found Dead at Home in Perry Ohio
Edward West 26 son of Thomas B. West wealthy owner of a nursery was found dead at his Perry Ohio home with his head mashed in by a hammer. The weapon lay beside the body and West's wife could not be located hours after the discovery. Sheriff Edward Rasmussen of No. 4 county continues investigation.

Alberta Blizzard Leaves Four Dead in Tieup
Calgary Alta Dec 7 Four persons were known to be dead and a 17 year old boy was badly hurt today in a blizzard that halted Alberta traffic since Monday. Three men froze to death and a fourth was struck by a snowplow. John Hucalul 7 was believed to have succumbed to the cold wave. He became lost while en route to school.

Lad Kills His Mother and Flees Hometown Tragedy
In St Clairsville Ohio on December 7 15 year old Andy Dyken shot and killed his mother Mary Dyken 33 wounded his father Nick Dyken 26 and farmhand John Mordis 20. The youth was captured hiding in a straw stack within 300 yards of the crime scene with a new shotgun and shells. Sherif Hardesty said Dyken admitted the crime but gave no motive. Henry Miller president of the Lorain County Automophile Club urged drivers to apply for 1928 license tags without delay. Tags can be secured at the Auto Club. Miller said motorists save time by getting tags before the rush later in the month. Cleveland Electric to seek land for 132 000 volt line
In probate court a petition by the Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company seeks to appropriate land in Cuyahoga County for a new electric transmission line from the Clinton station in Brooklyn Township to the Avon Lake generating station. The 132 000 volt line will parallel the existing line to Avon Lake. A jury will determine damages for 18 parcels. Easements have been secured from many landowners who favored out of court settlements.
