School Board approves accelerated building program plan
The Board of Education met at the office Monday afternoon and decided to proceed with the building program funded by a $1,500,000 bond issue. Superintendent Shelton urged immediate action to lock in lower costs, proposing a ten room building on Western Heights, an annex to the Sixth Street technical building with a gym, and additions to Vicasent D and the Westside buildings. Architect Ralph Sisben was employed to draft plans for Western Heights, the annex, and the school yard. Shelton stated the Garford building addition was nearly finished and ready for Easter opening.

No Funds For The Indigent In This City
Rotherdon of Associated Charities told the city council that the group has no funds to aid the poor within Elyria. A new law blocks township funds from aiding outside boundaries, leaving eight local families without assistance. The association relies on private donations and seeks a temporary plan to cover needs until a 1921 budget invoice can be arranged. The finance committee will seek immediate funding to sustain charity work during the short term. Various organizations may assist those in distress as weather allows.
