Mayor Center Rezoning Put to Voters in Avon

Two city officials say developers of a proposed shopping complex on 800 acres must persuade residents to rezone the land. Mayor James Smith noted Avon already has zoning limits and predicted the council will likely reject the request, pushing the measure to a voter initiative. Ford offers moves jobs at Ky. plant

Ford Motor Co Ohio Assembly workers face transfer to Kentucky or retirement. 275 workers offered transfers and up to 50 senior workers eligible for retirements with decisions due by December 18.
