Train hits auto. two brothers perish, one injured
Willie Glinsey 29 of Cleveland dies at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a Baltimore and Ohio freight train strikes his westbound auto on Warden Avenue. James Glinsey 39 of Elyria is listed in critical condition following emergency surgery. The crash occurred at 9 40 pm at a crossing lacking flashing lights. Police say the auto skidded and was struck on the driver’s side, the train moving about 30 mph. Firefighters freed occupants after the car was chained to tracks. The brothers were returning to Parmely Avenue area when the crash happened.
