Recount confirms Lorain J CC levy victory remains
The Lorain County Community College levy kept its 50.2 percent win with 28 855 votes for and 28 615 against after an automatic recount triggered by closeness. The levy funds 12 million yearly for faculty, tech, and programming in LCCC s University Partnership. A separate recount in Black River school board race yielded Tim Clifford and Timothy Simmons as winners by small margins. An Elyria man faces arson charges after allegedly setting a neighbor s car ablaze and breaking a windshield following a dispute. The case is pending a December 12 court date.
