Costs of idle Perry plant rise as delays blamed on opposition
The Perry Nuclear Power Plant near Cleveland has waited for full power since late November as opposition delays continue. CEI says daily costs reach 2.2 million, with 1.2 million in interest and 1 million in operations and maintenance, while the NRC license remains tied up by federal court challenges.
