After nearly two and a half years of service the South Lorain County Ambulance District reports its first on the scene delivery a baby girl. EMTs kept silent by code yet celebrated as the mother and newborn are reported doing fine. On scene near Wellington the mother gave birth in a mobile home and the crew transported mother and baby to Allen Memorial Hospital in Oberlin.

Warm spell lifts Elyria temps to 53 as snow flurries loom

Elyria residents enjoyed a 53 degree noontime rise with forecasters predicting a high near 60. The National Weather Service warns of snow flurries tonight and Thursday with partly cloudy, windy conditions and lows around the mid 30s. Precipitation chances are 20 percent today and 30 percent tonight and Thursday. Winds shift from southwest to west tonight and Thursday.
