Two Barberton Men Killed In Weekend Crashes
Akron dispatch reports two Barberton men died in separate weekend car accidents. Jake Hart, 30, and Carl Ritzman, 25, were killed Saturday night when Hart's machine collided with another car at Cleveland Road and 31st Street. Ritzman perished when his car struck a curb near Breenlawn Memorial Cemetery, went airborne, crashed into a tree and burst into flames. Fireman Elvin Crites of the Kenmore district was severely burned while fighting the blaze when the gasoline tank exploded.

Col and Mrs Charles A Lindbergh failed to launch from Bathurst Gambia on a non stop route to Nets Brazil. After five trials with a near windless sea, the plane remained waterbound despite jettisoned baggage and fuel.
