Two Cars Stolen From Garages Prompt Lock Warning
Police warned motorists to lock garages after thieves took two cars last night. J A Lump’s sedan at 354 Cornell Ave, license 283-129, and R B Barker’s car at 211 Denison, license 296-733, were stolen from unlocked garages on Garford and Denison avenues. Several garages were broken into as thieves slipped in to find unlocked cars. owners had not removed keys, police reported.

Menches, 72, famed inventor of the ice cream cone, circus trapeze performer and concessionaire, died of a heart attack at his Akron home after a long career in theater and novelty creation.
