An old tale follows Claus as a mysterious purse released vapor that made children sleep for days. While villagers blame Claus for opening it, he creates gifts for each child as Mrs. Claus calms fears and the village ponders a lasting Christmas legend.
In Elyria Ohio on a December day a character named Claus proclaims the purse is in his keeping and vows to lift a curse. He throws a bag against the wall causing its clasp to break and a small brass key to spill onto the floor, signaling the start of a journey.
