Army scrambles to place troops after Korea pullout

Washington sources say 750 men from the 2nd Infantry Division will depart South Korea and be housed temporarily at an undecided U.S. base as the Army debates where to station the entire division. The decision has been deferred indefinitely by Defense Secretary Harold Brown amid political pressure from Northeastern lawmakers and ongoing base-closure sensitivities.
