Avon builds new Lear Nagle bridge after fatal crash
Avon begins installing a two lane Lear Nagle bridge at the former site of a one lane span after a Cleveland man died attempting to cross. The $35 000 structure arrived in five 23 ton sections and will be completed with guardrails and surfacing in two weeks. Traffic is rerouted to Mills and Schwartz Roads. The old bridge was removed for safety after several accidents. Brian Campbell 27 died after driving through warning signs and barriers under intoxication. Officials said the city bears no fault.
