Lorain Aims Tax Break for Antlers Hotel Renovation
Mayor William Parker supports a tax abatement for a 1.1 million plan to renovate Lorain’s vacant Antlers Hotel at Washington and West Erie. The incentive would delay tax increases while reducing upfront cash outlay for developers, keeping revenue in the long term. The Lorain Community Improvement Corporation will review a developer request and $650,000 bond issuance, with Billy Rowland and unnamed investors leading the project which adds shops, offices, and about 18 residential units across three upper stories.
