Nelson children sue over dad Ricky Nelson death in plane crash
Four Nelson children sue Century Equipment Co Duncan Aviation and Midland Ross Corp seeking unspecified damages for the Dec 31 1987 crash that killed Ricky Nelson his fiancée Helen Blair and seven others. The suit accuses Century Equipment of leasing the plane despite a design defect. Duncan Aviation is alleged to have negligently inspected the jet. The National Transportation Safety Board investigation is ongoing with a report not expected until November.
