Four Arrested For Stealing Fruit In Amherst Township
Four men chased from the Middle Ridge to Lorain city limits were halted by a sheriff’s small patrol and confined in the county jail. Arraigned before Justice S J George they were fined 25 dollars each and committed until payment. Deputies caught them after they left Ray Hearn’s orchard with one and a half bushels of peaches. Three bandits rob Oberlin Road filling station near Elyria
Three men held up the Matt Gardner filling station on Oberlin road about one mile west of Elyria this afternoon escaping with roughly $60. Gardner fired five shots as they fled but believes none hit. The robbers fled in a coach and Sheriff Clarence E. Adams asked surrounding towns to be on the lookout.
