Army Plans to Expand Women in Ranks But Bar Tasks
Washington reports a Pentagon briefing shows the Army will add about 5,000 enlisted women to reach 70,000 and raise women officers to 13,000 for a total of 73,000 over five years. Nineteen 60s occupational limits would remain, with 23 skill areas barred due to exposure to combat or heavy work.
