Eighth drug arrest made in Lorain County crackdown

Lorain County Fair steer sale sets new high at 2.075 per pound
Spitzer Management of Elyria bought the grand champion Hereford steer Daffy for 2.075 a pound, a record high beating the previous 1.55. The 1,040 pound animal raised by Robert Hoffman of Huntington Liberty 4-H Club sold for 2,158. Hoffman also grand champion at Medina County Fair. Reserve champion steer was raised by Scott Hendricks of Pittsfield 4-H and bought by Farmers Co-op in LaGrange at 0.85 per pound.
