PUCO ruling hits Centerior over emergency rate request
Wall Street analysts say the Centerior Energy Corp. failure to obtain a 9.8 percent emergency rate hike will strain cash flow and pressure profits. Analysts warn of reduced dividends and an unstable financial outlook as the company weighs a permanent rate increase after investing about 4 billion dollars in the Perry and Beaver Valley projects. Centerior plans cost cuts while preparing for a fall PUCO filing.
