Suffers Shock After Lake Ave Traffic Crash
Joseph Yalik, 62, of 150 Ford Avenue, Elyria, suffered shock at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a Lake Avenue crash near Stop 9 at about 1:25 a.m. His car sideswiped W. L. Morris of 145 Clinton Avenue. Malik, driving south, was injured and taken to the hospital by John Finnegan of 301 Huron Street. Passengers in both cars were uninjured. In Cleveland on August 25 Dr. Francis E Townsend testified that the Townsend plan would disappear revenue would stop and old age pensions ltd would die if a receiver were appointed. He spoke during a suit for a receiver and accounting brought by Rev. A J Wright who ousted Townsend as Ohio organizer. The hearing was postponed to October 27 to allow his attorney to inspect records in Los Angeles Baltimore and Chicago.

Apoplexy Fatal To Custodian Of Courthouse
Apoplexy induced by hot weather caused the death at 5 a m today of Barclay 60 of 128 Grant street courthouse custodian and former National Tube Company employee. He was stricken shortly after noon Saturday at the courthouse and died at Elm Memorial Hospital after being brought there unconscious. His son Kenneth was in the hospital recovering from an appendectomy. A 30 year Hyrlia resident, he came from Johnstown Pa during National Tube Company’s construction and worked for the county over a year and a half. He was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and of Masonic Eagles and Modern Woodmen lodges. Besides his son, he is survived by his wife Anna Dunn Barclay sister of County Commissioner Oscar G Dunn a second son Robert two brothers Harves of Birmingham Ala and J of Johnstown Pa and two sisters Mrs Russell Stutzman of Johnstown and Mrs Lillian Murphy of Lynn Mass. Funeral will be at 2 30 p m Saturday at the Taylors Funeral Home with Rev FB J Bond officiating burial in Ridgelawn cemetery.
