Steelhead caught 65 to 72 feet from Geneva to Gonneaut with red white chartreuse spoons while trailing for walleye. Perch best 3 miles north of Edgewater, Eastlake, Fairport, and Conneaut with bottom near 46 to 65 feet using shiners or worm harnesses. Smallmouth excellent in harbors and nearshore 20 to 25 feet in Conneaut through Fairport Harbor. white bass caught trolling for walleye. Shore anglers at Lorain Ore Dock, Eastlake CEI pier, Fairport Harbor pier and Conneaut breakwall. Early mornings and evenings best. Walleye around North Bass Island to Gull Island Shoal. warm harnesses and forward spinners recommended. trolling spoons on dipsys effective. Perch around Niagara Reef, Green Island, Kellays Island areas with bottom rigs. most fish inches, few up to 10 or 11.
