How an Affluent Family Qualifies for Food Stamps
A hypothetical five member family with an annual income of 15000 may qualify if assets meet the rules. Cash and resources must total less than 1500 after exclusions. Countable assets here total 1100, from a 500 savings and 600 in stocks, while a 50000 home and other possessions do not count. The process hinges on asset limits and net income as defined by law.
