Study Finds Women Bear Major Dependents Burden
National Federation of Business and Professional Women reports a survey of 12 000 members for the International Labour Office and League of Nations. About half share support for dependents wholly or partly, and nearly one fifth are the sole providers at home, with similar numbers supporting dependents outside the home. The study challenges the notion of women earning only pin money and shows equal partnership with men in dependent care. The federation, the largest active group of business and professional women, promotes opportunities and rewards for all capacities across 1546 communities. Elyria members number seventy as part of broader cooperative efforts for mankind.
