Forecasters warned of possible landfall near West Palm Beach and warned residents to prepare while tracking the storm’s unpredictable westward path. Authorities in Brevard and Palm Beach counties urged precautions as Cape Canaveral and the space shuttle Endeavour missions faced potential disruption.
