Capistrano Swallows May Leave Early Says Physicist
Beverly Hills reports that swallows in Capistrano could depart a few days earlier than the usual October 23 date, a prediction by physicist Christian A. Volf. He links earlier arrivals to shifts in electro magnetic waves, noting weather in 1946 and 1947 and suggesting birds are guided by electro magnetic forces. Ornithologists urge caution, saying dates are approximate and natural variation remains likely.
