NOACA to give 645K to LCT transit relief

NOACA will provide Lorain County Transit 645 431 of 10.5 million in unused federal funds to stave off service cuts for now. officials said the money buys time as a board must approve it next month and while it helps, routes may still face reductions to save about 500 000.

Gas USA suspect pleads not guilty in Lorain County

Vincent Jackson Jr. aged 27 pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and aggravated robbery in Lorain County Common Pleas Court for the June 14 gas station robbery. Diana Walton was killed at the Gas USA during the heist in which $12,000 was stolen. A friend of Walton described Jackson’s courtroom appearance as overwhelming.

Grafton Faces Shift From Angle to Parallel Parking

Fat Cats owner Tony Zavallo warns that a proposal to switch State Route 57 Main Street in Grafton from angle to parallel parking could erase dozens of spaces. He says drivers may skip downtown dining if parking is harder to find, risking a “ghost town” effect. The state requires a 25 foot road width and current measure shows about 17 feet.
