Washington August 22 The Reconstruction Finance Corporation loaned or allotted 55 090 000 to more than 400 borrowers in late July with 12 Ohio banks and four building and loan firms receiving loans. Rates ranged 5 1/2 percent for banks, 6 percent for railroad loans. Largest Ohio loan 1 700 500 to Winters National Bank Dayton. others include 1 500 000 to Cleveland Union Trust, 30 000 to Sutton State Bank Attica and 1 150 500 to Tiffin National Bank. Total Ohio loans 3 842 600 plus four buildings and loans associations in the state. Collateral not stated.

Costly blaze at Amherst electr plant at Amherst
