Elyria High School class members from the 1931 cohort gathered Aug 4 for a luncheon at Washington Avenue Christian Church. About 30 attendees, including spouses, shared letters from absent classmates and gifts. Three classmates died in the past year. plans were made for a 71st reunion next year.
North Ridgeville residents Mr and Mrs Frank Kleinholz marked 60 years of marriage after tying the knot August 2, 1941 at St Colmans Church with Rev Kimmons officiating. He retired from New York Central. she worked for World Publishing and Thibo Greenhouse. They have six children, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Robert and Jean Gilder observed their 65th wedding anniversary after a ceremony on August 12, 1946 at Grace Lutheran Church in Elyria with Rev W W Walker. He retired from the North Ridgeville Fire Department and ran Gilder Auto Service. She retired after 28 years as a North Ridgeville School District bus driver. They have four children and three grandchildren. An anniversary gathering was held at Common Grounds.
Mr and Mrs C Keith Johnson of Vermilion marked their 50th wedding anniversary on July 28 restoring memories of their July 28 1951 marriage at St Peters Church North Ridgeville. He co-owns Johnson and Son Insurance Elyria with son Dennis. she enjoys gardening reading travel and family. They have three children Kathy Townsend Dennis and David plus three grandchildren. The celebration was with friends and relatives at T K Steakhouse Lorain. John and Susan Antonczak also observed their 60th wedding anniversary. married August 9 1941 at Holy Cross Church Elyria. He is a retired Operating Engineer. she is Holy Cross Altar Rosary Society and United Polish Club Ladies Auxiliary member. They have five children John Michael James Marcia and Monica and seven grandchildren.
