Hoffa Disappearance Tied to Mob Control of Teamsters

The piece portrays Hoffa’s early mob ties, his jailing, and how Frank Fitzsimmons rose amid racketeering influence as mob bosses tightened their grip after Hoffa’s prison departure.

U.S. Eases Cuba Embargo With Third-Country Sales
The United States will announce a partial easing of the Cuba embargo permitting American firms operating in third countries to sell goods to Cuba for the first time in years. The move targets third countries, not bilateral U.S. Cuba trade, and stops short of repealing the 1962 ban. Foreign nations press for broader sales rights and negotiations on normalizing ties. Argentina previously licensed exports to Cuba in 1974 amid nationalization threats.
