Richard J. Boyled aged 34 of Portmouth drowned when his plane from a local service crashed into the Ohio River near the Kentucky shore. Witnesses placed the craft around 2600 feet up, Doyle reportedly tried to alight in the water, the fuselage broke, and the plane settled in 12 feet of water.
