Bear attack on man at exotic animal property in Columbia Township
A 24 year old man was attacked by a bear at a Columbia Township property known for exotic animals. Deputies said the incident near North Marks Road occurred just before 7:30 p.m. and was described as severe. He was airlifted to MetroHealth Medical Center. his condition was not released. Sam Mazzola, former owner of Animal Zone, reportedly runs the property. ownership is listed to Salvatore P. Mazzola per county records.
