Jury awards Golden Lion at international film festival
The festival features 20 competing films including new works by Ken Loach and Alfonso Cuaron. It runs Aug 29 to Sept 8. Chair Paul Knight was fined 20000 dollars for contractor tree removal at his Sunriver resort home in central Oregon without permission from the Sunriver Owners Association. Knight owns a six bedroom four bath residence on the edge of a fairway, county records value the property at 800000 dollars. He previously led the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York for seven years before relocating to San Francisco.
