Boston August 19 The long effort to spare Sacco and Vanzetti from execution included ten major steps. Fled for a new trial moved in Suffolk Superior Court denied. Justice Holmes denied a writ of habeas corpus as Sacco and Vanzetti remain in Charlestown prison. In the Cherry Hill barber shop Sacco told his son Dante to work for humanity and to value helping others over wealth. The ruling forecast their transfer to No. 2.

At Bucyrus Ohio five members of the Collins family die in a grade crossing collision on the Pennsylvania railroad last night. Ben Collins his wife Doris James and Bettie plus the grandchildren Bettie seven and Doris nine were in the auto. Ben Collins was driving after leaving work.

Man fined for selling liquor in Lorain court

Alexander Shinski of 926 West 17th Street Lorain was fined 500 dollars plus costs after pleading guilty to selling intoxicating liquor. O F E Rankin arrested him after deputies bought liquor with marked money. 200 to 300 beer bottles were found. Four men in the house were arrested and sent to municipal court.
